Thinking about remodeling your kitchen?  Budgeting is key when it comes to major renovations.  As per HomeAdvisor.com, a kitchen remodel costs about $23,689 or $150 per square foot and most homeowners spend between $12,566 and $34,943 or $75 to $250 per square foot. The total expense varies depending on the size of the space, the quality of materials, and whether you change the layout of the room.

When it comes to selling your home, the kitchen is one of the major areas Buyers are most concerned about.  The kitchen serves as the heart of the home for most. Think about it, when guests are visiting your home, most people hang out in the kitchen.  It’s where meals are made and people gather.

The graphic below shows the percentage of where the costs to remodel your kitchen goes to.  For example, the costliest in kitchen remodeling is cabinetry & hardware.  If you are on a tight budget, you can remodel the outer surface of the cabinets rather that replacing the entire unit.

Whatever you decide to do, just remember that a well-maintained and spacious kitchen can increase the value of the home.  If your goal is to net the most of amount of money, a nicely remodeled kitchen is the way to go.
